Upstate Provisional Branch Hosts Monthly Chapter Meeting

The USGBC-SC Chapter Upstate provisional Branch will host the Chapter this month for a tour of the Cliffs Cottage at Furman, Southern Living magazine's first sustainable Showcase Home. Located on the Furman campus and open to the public June 14, 2008, the Cliffs Cottage was designed and built to LEED certification standards and is a model of environmentally responsible design, building techniques and materials, and energy-saving systems.

The Chapter Challenge Grant adjudication has been completed, and on behalf of our outstanding panelists, I am pleased to report the results.
The Panelists
The adjudication panel comprised a cross section of chapter leaders and chapter staff from across the country. Many, many thanks to these people who put in countless hours to review, rate and ultimately select 6 grant recipients from among a strong group of applicants. This was not any easy decision.
