Join us for our
monthly chapter program to learn about the benefits of Green Cleaning.
What is Green Cleaning?
Green
Cleaning is using cleaning products that do not harm occupants or the
environment. Proper sanitation and cleaning are important for a healthy
building environment. Some cleaning products, however, can contain
harmful chemicals that contaminate the environment and endanger human
health. Implementing "green cleaning" practices can reduce these health,
safety, and environmental risks. Green cleaning involves selecting
alternative products, using those products properly, and taking other
steps to reduce risks while maintaining a satisfactory level of
cleanliness and disinfection.
Who
are the Speakers?
Board
Member Alex Denton of Interstate Solutions will lead a discussion on
"green cleaning," featuring an expert in the industry, Mr. Lou Volpe,
Continuous Client Improvement coordinator and Facilitator of Training
Development at Interstate Solutions.
With 38 years of experience within the sanitary supply industry, Lou has
gained insight on why many people and companies in the business world
resist new paradigms. He has extensive experience working with
healthcare and higher education. His experience in communication,
marketing and management consulting plus serving as past Director of
Education and Training for a four billion dollar corporation and the
International Sanitary Supply Association (Johnson Wax), uniquely
positions him to help clients bridge the gap between traditional
thinking and what will be needed in the 21st century.
