Welcome to the U.S. Green Building Council South Carolina Chapter!

USGBC-SC CHAPTER MEETING

The May meeting for the USGBC-SC chapter will be May 18th starting at 1PM. It will be at the Edisto Beach Visitor's and Education Center. The Education Center, located in the ACE Basin and LEED Certified in December 2005, consists of 7,635 square feet of educational facility and an additional 3,836 square feet of decks and covered porches for outdoor learning. Following the concepts of LEED the building utilizes materials and systems based upon consideration of both short term and long term economy in the use of our natural resources. The architectural spaces blend local aesthetic with contemporary features effectively combining a cluster of building shapes to form a "village-like" atmosphere.

Below are the directions to the meeting place. Also, for anyone who would like to meet for lunch, directions are below to a restaurant that is nearby.
Those meeting for lunch should plan to arrive around 11:30 at the restaurant to allow enough time before the meeting begins. Also, if the parking lot is full please use the lot by the boat ramp. Please don't park up and down the street.  To read more about the park,
