Lowcountry Branch June Program, 6/30/11
Trends in Sustainable Community Design
“While we all recognize the value of building “green”, everyone also realizes that it takes more than LEED certified buildings to make a community (town, city or neighborhood) truly sustainable. This session will focus on two very specific aspects of sustainable communities: urban agriculture and pedestrian/bicycle connectivity. The goal of the session is to show how even small individual efforts can result in significant changes and even be a catalyst for further change.” Join William T. Eubanks, FASLA, LEED AP, and D. Russ Seamon, LEED AP, of urban edge studio of SW+A as we discuss these topics.
Students, architects, landscape architects, developers, and planners can learn from this session and no prerequisite knowledge on the topics is needed.
