Representatives from Vulcraft will be discussing corporate environmental commitment and responsibility, recycling, LEED points, and joists and decking products .
Nucor Corporation is the nation’s largest recycler, using over 20 million tons of scrap steel a year to create new products. Nucor uses Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)technology at all of its steel recycling facilities. EAFs usepost-consumer scrap steel material for the major feedstock,unlike blast furnace operations which use mined iron oreas the major feedstock. Vulcraft products use up to 99.7% recycled material contributing to LEED points in material selection. Nucor VULCRAFT Group, a leader in the steel joist and joist girder industry offers a complete range of steel decking at six strategically located deck manufacturing facilities, including Florence, SC. For South Carolina projects, Vulcraft is also well within the 500 mile range for Regional Materials Credit.
