About the Chapter
The U.S. Green Building Council is committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-effective energy-saving green buildings. With more than 12,000 member companies and organizations, the USGBC is driving the market for energy-saving green buildings that is forecast to be $277 billion in 2020.
There are 77 chapters nationwide where individuals can get involved with USGBC.
South Carolina Chapter members are builders, architects and environmentalists, elected officials and concerned citizens, and teachers and students working at a local level to educate and advocate for green building.
To transform the way buildings and communities in South Carolina are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.
Buildings and communities in South Carolina will regenerate and sustain the health and vitality of all life within a generation.
The South Carolina Chapter is a statewide, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which operates in four regions of the state. The Chapter works closely with the U.S. Green Building Council and its Chapters across the country to promote green building education.
