About the Chapter
The U.S. Green Building Council is committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. With a community comprising 78 local affiliates, more than 20,000 member companies and organizations, and more than 140,000 LEED Credentialed Professionals, USGBC is the driving force of an industry that is projected to soar to $60 billion. The USGBC leads a diverse constituency of builders and environmentalists, corporations and nonprofit organizations, elected officials and concerned citizens, and teachers and students.
The South Carolina Chapter, with representatives from numerous educational, governmental, and private industries, strives to uphold and disseminate the goals of the U.S. Green Building Council while working at a local level to educate the citizens of South Carolina about the benefits of green building.
